Was able to find everything on our list easily. Received a refund for 10 pounds sugar which we were accidentally charged for last week. Always enjoy shopping at Fareway... everyone is so nice.
Our local Fareway grocery store is nondescript. In the Vinton area it's the only available choice. Somethings Fareway could improve on include stocking more variety (dog food springs to mind as do root beer popsicles), keep popular items in stock ("yoplait whips chocolate yogurt"). But most of all train your employees to participate in the store. Twice now I have asked stocking employees to request sugar free sweet ice tea, in gallon jugs in the refrigerator section. Both Milo's & Red Diamond feature such iced tea. But nooo the apathetic employees have never followed up with this or any other requests (soda stream). They don't write the request information down or get back to you.
Always friendly, professional staff with the best meat counter in the state. Also always extremely clean.
Friendly, easy to stop quick for a few items or do the weekly grocery shopping.
Fareway is ok. The meat is good, however, you 'must' go through the meat counter to get any selection at all. Sometimes I don't feel like going to the meat counter but, then, what are you going to do? Go without meat? Have not been able to persuade any Fareway employee to even consider stocking an item I may want. Example have asked two stocking employees to check into stocking sweetened, sugar free, ice tea in a gallon, without lemon. Red Diamond puts one out so do other companies. They generally don't know what to do with such a request. I have never seen them write a request on paper much less follow through with one or get back to me. Little to no initiative. Otherwise Fareway is alright.
